Just found out this useful little trick for copying conditional formatting to a completely separate Google Sheet.
Simply right click the tab containing the conditional formatting you want and click “Copy To > Existing Spreadsheet”.
Then after picking whatever spreadsheet you want the conditional formatting into you will now have a new tab containing all the functions and formatting of the original.
From here you can simply copy the conditional formatting between tabs as usual before deleting the copied tab once you no longer need it.
A simple workaround to the annoying inability to copy conditional formatting between spreadsheets.
